KAKHI Designs is the brainchild of two Mumbai natives, Tejal Kadakia and Simran Khiantani (KAKHI comes from combining both their last names).
Tejal has a background in jewelry design and gemology, from the Gemological Institute of America.Simran (neé Namrata Daswani), who now lives in New York city, has a background in graphic design and corporate branding, with a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design.
